The fair girl advanced and bent over me
i feel the movement of her breath upon me
swet it was in one sense- honey sweet
i closed my eyes while my heart beats
I was conscious of the presence of the count
strong hands grasp the slender neck of the woman
"this man belongs to me!"
"Beware how you meddle with him!"
I awoke in my own bed the count carried me
these dreadful women want to suck my blood
i want to escape in fear of my life
"Tomorrow my friend we must part"
as the door began to open
the howling of the wolves grew louder
red jaws champing teeth blunt-clawed feet
with such allies i could do nothing
Shut the door! I shall wait till morning!
All is gone forever- i am a child of the night
my soul is damned to last- i am alone
